Had a blast! the only downside is that the music is so short that it almost instantly becomes repetitive to a practically maniacal level(and that is easily remedied with mute). Aside from such a minor down note(and the lack of alternate stages), this was loads of fun. The enemies not only get more challenging as you progress but they progressively scale up in numbers which adds to the challenge. a few tweaks and this is perfect.
1. MORE UPGRADES: more is always better, and who could argue with beefing up your already badass hero with more magic abilities, faster run speed, quicker attack speed, lengthier leaps, more health expansions, magic capacity, the works.
2. MORE CRAP TO BUY: we all know enemies tend to conveniently drop exactly what you need in games like these, but it's always just as rewarding when you get to the "store" and a rewarded for your efforts with more selections and higher available quantities than your last trip. It encourages to keep playing to see what cool crap we can get next time.
3.COMBOS: who doesn't love pounding your enemies to a bloody mess with a string of flashy attacks? Being able to throw in our own mixture of the attacks makes us feel original and less like we're playing the game exactly like everyone else.
4.MORE LOCATIONS: Whats better than smashing baddies around the room? Doing in other rooms. Changing the scenery every once in a while makes us feel more progressive and diminishes the potential monotony of smacking skulls against the same floor over and over again.
Other than those things, I had a lot of fun and this is absolutely something I will play again.
Two thumbs up!
